Things here have been pretty crazy, so I haven't had much time to update you this week! But I wanted to give you a short update while I have a minute, but I promise more to follow.
The theme this week was "All for One", so we focused on community and learning what it means to be and function as a body of believers. In an effort to unite us students together, the staff mixed up our weekly schedule and distributed clues to students throughout the week to be communicated by word of mouth. It was confusing and frustrating at times, but it was fun to see how quickly word could spread. Last night we ended the week with the Staff/Student softball game. Staff won (unfortunately, but not unexpectedly), but it was still a lot of fun.
The theme this week is "World Vision", where we will explore God's heart for the world. I'm not quite sure what that means yet, or what our week is going to look like, but I'll keep you all posted!
In other news, I almost have a job! I have an interview on Monday at the CVS in Ocean City, so be praying that it goes well and the Lord will provide. Job hunting has been going on for over 2 weeks now, so I am a just a little sick of it and ready to get settled into a routine.
Tonight, Randy Newmann is coming give a seminar on evangelism. He was our speaker at Fall Retreat for Cru at Northwestern/Loyola Chicago, so it will be cool to hear him speak on a new topic.
Continue to pray for the relationships I am building here. Each day I continue to feel more at home and really love the people who I am surrounded with. I'm already learning so much, and it's crazy to think I get to spend a whole summer here!!
