At the airport...

The last two weeks have been busy and stressful with getting ready for finals and packing my things into storage for the summer, so this is the first time in a while (and probably for a while) that I will have time to just sit and do nothing.

It’s finally sinking in that I am actually going to Ocean City, and that I’m not just going to talk about it forever and keep envisioning it as a far off place. It feels like so long ago that I was debating whether or not I was even going to come, but here I am, sitting in the Midway Airport food court, waiting for my delayed flight that now leaves in approximately 3 hours for Philadelphia. In a matter of hours, I actually see the place where I will be spending the next 10 weeks.

I’ve heard from my roommates and discipler for the summer, all of whom I am really excited to meet! I’m jealous that they have been getting to know each other for the past couple of weeks while I’ve been stuck in school, but they have been really sweet and kept me encouraged when I was stressing during finals.

While I am excited to get to OC, it’s been sad to leave behind my freshman year at Northwestern. God has done some incredible things in my life over the last year, providing for me and teaching me about what it means to truly live for Him. September seems so long ago, yet the year went by quickly and already seems like a blur.
