Last night we had a feast to celebrate the staff and send them off to end Agape Week. We got to spend some time together as an action group, take pictures and hear about how God has been working in people's lives. One of the coolest moments of the evening was taking communion together as an action group and having our feet washed by our discipler. The whole feast was a mirror of the Last Supper that Jesus and His disciples shared before He left them, so it was cool to be sent off and equipped by our staff in that way. It was sad to see my discipler and the rest of the staff go, but also really exciting to know that us as students have the power to make the rest of the summer whatever we want.
This also marks the halfway point of project, which is so weird to think about. It simultaneously feels like I've been here forever, and that I just got here. Knowing that I have half of my summer left to make the most of is super motivating, because I know I've already been getting so much out of being here, but there is also so much more I want to draw from this community and unique experience.
